Arrival & Departure
Take the train from Barcelona to Lleida, then change train to La Pobla de Segur. Depending on your arrival time, you can board the Tren dels Llacs, a heritage train that takes you to the heart of the Pre-Pyrenees. As you journey, soak in breath-taking lake views, traverse through 40 tunnels, and marvel at towering rock formations, all from the seat of a 1970s train. Once in La Pobla de Segur, book a taxi to Claverol (10 min journey).
Because of distances, this adventure includes some transfers by vehcile inside the Boumort Nature Reserve to reach the start of the hiking routes. The chauffeur always follows the designated tracks to avoid disturbing the natural landscape and wildlife.
Marina, our in-destination Expert, has worked together with local experts in western Catalonia to bring you this unique hiking and safari experience. For Marina, slow adventures are all about forging meaningful connections with nature and locals, and she loves nothing more than helping travellers discover a side of her country unknown to most. And that's precisely Pepo and Sílvia's passion, too. Through this adventure, they want to transmit their way of feeling and living the Pyrenees by combining adventure, culture, gastronomy and wildlife observation in a privileged environment. Like Marina, they are firm believers that, done in the right way, travelling can help protect our environment.
