Journey through the Via dei Terrazzamenti to an altitude of 900 metres above sea level as you hike and bike your way around terraced vineyards and authentic villages. Discover a region shaped gently by viticulture that preserve authentic and rural life in the mountains, and see the dry stone wall terraces, now celebrated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Savour the wine in centuries-old vineyards and get to know the local heroes who continue these distinctive traditions to produce wine. Valtellina is full of small, family-owned businesses who maintain their roots as they care for the land.

Born and brought up in this stunning alpine region, Clara, our in-destination Local Partner, feels 100% at peace when outdoors. With a Masters in sustainable tourism and a deep connection with her local community and landscape, she knows what kind of adventure tourism her region needs, wants, and can handle. Clara has worked with many local winegrowers, families and producers and local guide Saverio to bring you this unique wine and food adventure. Born and raised in Valtellina, Saverio belongs to the mountains and has spent his life hiking, climbing, skiing, and cycling them. In his words, time spent in the mountains brings an intimate and limitless journey where we can all have incredible experiences regardless of the terrain, the challenges, or our own abilities. Saverio believes that we need a better balance between people and nature which is why he's so happy to be a member of Slow Adventure so that he can contribute to this.
